What’s the difference between the two? Dors the first one mean you still need help now and the second one means you don’t need help anymore?

1. I did not think you need help.
2. I did not think you needed help.
 
I did not think you needed help (in the past).
I did not think you needed help (now).

Context will tell us which time-period is meant.

(I did not think you need help (now). Not very natural.

What do you mean by "still correct"? There're lots of grammatically correct structures that aren't natural because they're unlikely to be said. This is one of them. It might be said in a very very specific context.
