I have great news! You will NEVER make another mistake like this if you simply remember this easy rule:
After "do," "does," and "did," you ALWAYS (no exceptions!) use the base form of the verb (the infinitive with NO "to").
I do not have time to do it.
She does not have time to do it.
We did not have time to do it.
Does he have time to do it?
Did she have time to do it?
Similarly:
She eats candy, but she does not eat donuts.
He ate broccoli, but he did not eat mushrooms.
