What is a better word for kick-start? The results in the internet are focusing on word kick and start and giving words that mean differently.

I need to use it in a sentence like, 'kickstart your exam preparations'. Is it better to say, 'Power up your exam preparations with us'?

Kickstart/boost/turbocharge

Not power up.

Start.
Jump-start.
Begin.
Kick off.
Launch.
Commence.
Inaugurate.
Jump-start.

I'm wondering about your internet search. Did you use Google or another search engine? I Googled kickstart, kick start, and kick-start and found lots of links to the definition with all three.

One good site is www.merriam-webster.com.
