Hello. I'm wondering what "ding it" means in this context below.
Does it mean "stupid" or something?

I touched his hand. "You are here."
"How will I know that?"
"Well, ding it, you are here. If you weren't here, you wouldn't be hearin me, would you?"
 
It means 'damn it'.

It's usually "dang," but this may be a typo, or someone trying to capture a particular accent.
