Dear all,
When you take a photo, do you say "Cheese" or "Say cheese" to make the people in the photo smile? Or is there any other popular phrase?

Thank you!

In the UK, the photographer says "Say cheese" as in instruction to the people in the photo, and they then just say "Cheese".

It's the most popular choice of word though these days, some people will just pick a strange and random word which doesn't necessarily make the people smile because of the way it is said, but it might be such a funny word that it makes them all laugh. That looks just as good in a photo.

Mind you, if you just say 'Cheese' when pointing a camera at people, they'll understand. ;-)
