"If we check back with them in two hours, they will be done fixing you truck."

Can we use "done doing something" in the future?

[will be done] [fixing your truck]
[finished] [fixing your truck]

Can we use "done doing something" in the future?

It is "to be done doing something".

Yes.

"If we check back with them in two hours, they will be done fixing your truck."
"done fixing" or
"done with fixing"

Yes; if you must use "done" for "finished".

"done fixing" or
"done with fixing"

:?:

I stopped fixing your car. :tick:
I am done fixing your car. :tick:

I stopped with fixing your car. :cross:
I am done with fixing your car. :tick:

Yes; if you must use "done" for "finished".

It's not that I must use "done" for "finish". I hear people saying different things. I'm just curious to know if it's acceptable.

Is it possible to use "going to" for "will" with "to be done"?

I know. I'm just signalling my dislike for it. However, you'll find it common in AmE.

It's possible. "Just wait. I'm going to be done with this soon."
But "going to" tends to express more volition than mere futurity. So, I'd say, "I'm going to stop this soon" (because I choose to), but "I'll be finished (done) with this soon" (because the works almost done).

I think this is possible.

I am going to be done with this job till 10 o'clock. (Decided yesterday)

But I also think this doesn't mean the job is finished at 10 o'clock.
Could be either finished or postponed.

You can't say that. It possible to say, "I'm not going to be done till 10".

Why would you put in "true"? It's got nothing to do with it!!

How about "I'm going to be done by 10 o'clock."?

All right. Is "that I must use done for finish" the object here?
