During his childhood whenever he went to take exams the other kids "would" or "must"

There is a celebrity who has a very long name. So a guy (host of a show) said to that person in a sarcastic way that "His name was very long. During his childhood whenever he went to take exams the other kids "would" or "must" have finished taking their exam by the time he finished writing his name on the paper". Are my sentences correct?

Either modal verbs could be used. "Would" indicates "probability" whereas "must" indicates "certainty". I would add a comma each after "childhood" and "exams".

Could you please tell me whether my sentences are correct?

NO! Ted showed you how to correct them.

1) His name was very long. During his childhood, whenever he went to take exams, the other kids would have finished taking their exam, by the time he finished writing his name on the paper.

2) His name was very long. During his childhood, whenever he went to take exams, the other kids must have finished taking their exam, by the time he finished writing his name on the paper.
