Hello.:-D

When I was in London, I often watched a TV program called 'EastEnders' on TV.
Back then, it was really difficult to catch their 'real-world' conversation(, by which I mean the conversation outside language schools,) in the soap opera,
and ... it still is.

It is good to improve my listening comprehension skills, I'm sure.

Anyway, my question is: Do the people in 'EastEnders' speak with a Cockney accent?

Thank you.

Most of them speak with an East End accent, yes. In order to be considered a true Cockney, one must be born within the sound of Bow Bells.

Sure they do. I think that the economic might of the BBC is so great that, if they choose to portray any British accent, the portrayal would be excellent. The BBC in general is excellent.
