Hi, I'm writing a script:

Man 1: What are you doing in my house?
Man 2: I'm just looking around. (elaborating) You see, I got lost in the woods...

Does the word 'elaborating' seem appropriate here? Man 2's first response doesn't really explain anything so he explains further.
 
Do you really need something there? The extra directions in a script are usually aimed at getting the actor to actually do something physical, whether that's a facial expression or a movement. I don't think you need to explain why they say the next line.
