Hi,

I am wondering if it is idiomatic to say things like:

I am reading this novel so as to enlarge my vocabluary.

Is it idiomatic to say "enlarge my vocabluary"?

Thanks a lot

Try, increase.

My dictionary gives - to build vocabulary, develop vocabulary, enlarge vocabulary

I agree wiith Lauralie2- increase (or expand) would work better. Also, I think it would be more natural without so as, which is correct but wordy.
