It was especially exiting to me because I myself got married last year too.

Is this sentence correct? How can I make it sound more natural? (The woman is writing to her friend about her impressions after seeing a video of the girl's wedding ceremony.)

I really enjoyed watching your wedding video. It brought back memories of my excitement when I got married last year.

Thank you, Emsr2d2,
and what if the woman is writing about the impressions she had LAST YEAR when she watched the wedding video about at the same time when she herself got married ? Watching the video and her marriage were about at the same time, that's why she was particularly excited to watch it. Now, a year later, she is writing to her friend about it.

I watched your wedding video last year just before I got married. It added to my excitement!

Edit: Correction of typo (thanks 5jj).

See emsr2d2's response, but I don't see anything "unnatural" about the statement although I would use "for me" and delete "myself".
