Can anyone please review my essay?
Nowadays some professionals such as doctors, lawyers and engineers are paid much higher than ordinary workers.
What do you think of this trend?
Are there any jobs which you think should offer higher salaries?
Essay:-
In these days, the medical, law and engineering professions pay far more handsomely than other professions. In my opinion, giving higher wages to doctors, lawyers and engineers is justified and even army personnels deserve higher wages.
The major reason why these three occupations should offer higher salaries is that the people working in these fields had spent larger amount of money on their graduation or specialisation. Their degree course is of minimum 4 years as opposed to 3 years in other courses and they have to spend further 3-4 years to specialise in any specific field. For pursuing their degree or getting specialisation, they have to pay exorbitant fees. For example, one year's fees of MBBS is Rs. 3 lakhs in India which is extremely higher than other courses, which have average fees of Rs. 70,000 a year.
Apart from physicians, advocates and engineers, army personnels should be paid heavily. This is because life of such people is at stake for keeping their country safe and secured. The countrymen live safely at all times because of the soldiers only but they get very less salaries, even though there is a fear of being attacked by the enemies 24 hours and 7 days.
To conclude, handsome salaries of doctors, lawyers and engineers is justified but there is a need to raise the income of soldiers also who sacrifice their whole life for the safety of citizens of their country.
