What does "establish housekeeping" mean?

As in:

"She married young, established housekeeping in New Jersey and promptly had two children".

I know what a housekeeper is but I can't seem to figure out what ' s with the "establishment of housekeeping". She settled in NJ?

Thank you.

In this context it means the same as "began" or "started" doing the routine duties of taking care of the home. "Established" is not an unusual term that indicates the beginning of some enterprise.
