My opinion is that it still doesn't sound natural.

At present, accessorised (BE spelling) only seems to be used for fashion items.

'The princess's outfit was tastefully accessorised with a fascinator and matching handbag'.

Whilst you can buy "bathroom accessories" and "kitchen accessories", and those interior designers might be able accessorise a room, I don't think it's a common use of the word. Fashion is a much more likely subject.

On a side note, I've seen few things less fascinating than a fascinator.

I think the main issue is that "to accessorise" only really sounds natural in the active. That is how I used it in my first three examples. So "The interior designer accessorised the bathroom with brightly-coloured towels and gold taps" might work.

:up: It's also quite recent - this dates it to 1939, but I wasn't aware of it (maybe this is a male thing - though I have three sisters ;-)) until much later. I didn't become aware of it until the arrival of the chain store 'Accessorize' - some time in the '80s or '90s, at a guess.

Also note that accessories are not necessary for the function. I can wear a dress without accessories and still be decent. A towel rail is pretty necessary for a functioning bathroom. Bright towels, versus just boring towels, are not needed.
