Is the word 'exercable' commonly used these days or is it bookish (or dated)? Does the sentence below sound natural in everyday conversation?
He speaks exercable French.
 
If you mean execrable, it's commonly used and your sentence is natural among those who want a stronger word than 'bad'.
 
I rarely disagree with Rover but here I do - I definitely wouldn't say it's commonly used in standard, everyday English. I would put money on quite a lot of native speakers not knowing what it means.
 
I don't think it's common (used by a wide range of speakers) and it certainly isn't high frequency (used lots of times per day).

Which one of those did you mean, Rover?
 
I don't know.

I'm clearly in a minority so I'll get my coat and wait for the pubs to open.
