A lot of people in the UK still use the word "tupperware" for that kind of food container, even though it's a brand name and there are many other companies making similar containers.

Yes, same here. Tupperware.

Having never owned a piece of actual Tupperware, I don't really have a standard word for them. Sometimes I just say "plastic food container". Sometimes, I refer to them by the brand name I use the most - "Lock & Lock".

Actually, the one in the picture is glass, although the lid is plastic.
