Are these correct?

1) I had to move my car for street cleaning.
2) I had to move my car for ploughing.

They were cleaning the street/ploughing the snow in the street, so I had to move my car.

They sound as if you had to move your car in order to street clean/plough.

I would add "to make way" after "car".

For the second one I would say "for snow removal".

Here in Charlotte there's a 50% chance that we will get snow during any given winter. When it does happen we don't do anything with it. We just wait for it to melt.
