Hi
Is the word"Geosciences"right or it shall always be used in singular form ?.
In the pennState University Web page you see "THE DEPARTMENT OF GEOSCIENCES"
Here is the link"http://www3.geosc.psu.edu/prospective/whatis.php".
It also explains the word Geoscience, which impies it shall be used in singular form, as follows.
Geoscience includes all the sciences (geology, geophysics, geochemistry) that study the structure, evolution and dynamics of the planet Earth.

Thank you

Penn State University uses the plural because there are various sciences in the geoscience department: geology, geophysics, geochemistry.

Is the word "Geosciences" right or must it always be used in the singular form?

Your post goes on to demonstrate the use of both the singular and plural forms.

Science and variations on the word can be used in the plural when referring to different branches of science.
