1- Please give me the glue.
2- Please pass me the glue.

Which one is correct and what's the difference between them ?

Pass implies that you just need someone to hand the object to you; you can not reach it so you need someone to help pass it along to you. For example, if you are sitting at a large dinner table with 10 people and you need the salt which is located at the other end of the table, you would say: "Please pass me the salt." This is a polite format.

Please let me know if this helps clarify things!
