[Vocabulary] Go ahead first!

Hello teachers,
Is it correct to say "Go ahead first!" or "Walk in front of me!".
I said the first sentence to somebody today trying to convey the meaning of "you don't need to wait for me because I'm with my son who walks slowly, go ahead and we'll catch you later".

If you say to someone "Walk in front of me", it suggests that you want to walk at the same speed as the other person, just that you want to walk a couple of steps behind them for some reason.
