A mom, dad, and daughter have had a week of vacation which they have spent in their holiday home. They are going home the next day.

Daughter: Why do we have to go home? Why can't we stay here?

Mom: Because you're going back to school on Monday.

Daughter: I don't want to go/get back to school.

Mom: I know. I don't want to go/get back to work either, but we have to.

Which one of 'go' and 'get' are natural here? Thanks.

Go having been used first, it is more likely to be used again.

It is also the more natural in this context.

The routine to be observed is "go to school/work".
"Get to school" is about the means to reach school.

Get back to school/work often conveys the idea of being there again.
