Somebody is standing in front of the TV and you are watching TV. What do you normally say to ask that person to move? Is it "go over"?

No. You could say, "Get out of the way".

I'd say, politely: "You're blocking my view. Would you mind moving a bit?"

"Go over" is wrong, and phrases like "step aside" or "move away" sound rude. "Move over" is not so much rude but very casual, something you'd say only to a family member or close friend. I think "get out of the way" is equally casual.

In Spanish we say "A donkey's skin isn't transparent." To which the customary answer, equally humorous, would be "And a pig's eyes can't see".

In BrE, we range from "Get out of the bl**dy way!" to "I'm terribly sorry, but could I possibly bother you to move just a fraction to the side so that I may have sight of the television set. Thank you so much."
