Hi! These below are from a children's book.
I am wondering what the underlined part means in this context.
Is it mean Dad treats Digger like a baby, but the man who really takes care of Digger is the boy?


When I took Digger(It is a wombat, the boy's pet in the story) for a walk,
he dug a great hole under the house.
My father takes Digger on his knees and talks to him like he's a baby,
while guess-who mixes the milk and unblocks the teat and all that.

"Guess-who" is the speaker/writer.
Yes, the writer is the one who prepares the feeds and does the responsible things, while the father just enjoys the wombat's company.

:up: 'Guess-who?' is the speaker. And if s/he resents having to do what s/he does, it's 'Muggins'. 'When it comes to taking out the rubbish, why does it always have to be Muggins that does it?' (The 's' is pronounced /z/.)
