Dear native speakers,
The idiom "hand in glove" has a positive meaning or a negative one or both? Once teaching idioms, I came across this idiom and couldn't find a clear-cut answer for myself as to whether it is used positively or negatively or in both ways.

It tends to be used negatively, but there might be some positive uses.
 
"hand in glove" means closely or together.

The boy and his father worked hand in glove to finish building the cabin.
