For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, . . .
In the clause in bold, what is the object of the transitive verb "predestined"?
The direct object of "predestined" is "those God foreknew [to be conformed to the image of his Son]."

The direct object has been fronted. The subject of the sentence is "he"/"God." I understand the infinitive to go with both verbs.

For God also predestined [those he foreknew to be conformed to the image of his Son] to be comformed to the image of his Son.

That is, those people were both foreknown and predestined by God to be conformed to the image of his Son.
