Hello everyone.

Imagine you have a friend. He doesn't share good stuff with his other friends. For example, he gets a fine bottle of booze, but he drinks it without his friends.
Or he has pizza and he doesn't share.

In my language, we have a term for such friend which literally translates to "single-eater".

Is there a specific term in English for such a friend?

I already know a term like "fair-weather" friend but it doesn't work here.

This term (single-eater) is used jokingly in my language most of the time.

If I have pizzs I eat it all myself. (Who am I going to share it with? I live alone.) The same thing if I have any beer. (I rarely do.)

The person you are talking about eats (or drinks) alone.

Yes. That is a different situation. We sometimes expect our friends to share good things with us. And as I indicated, this term is used jokingly most of the time.

Ah! He doesn't like to share. (I totally agree.)
:-D

Yes, he doesn't like sharing. So, I don't think we have a word for such friend, right?

There are, of course, more general terms like stingy and tight-fisted, but I was wondering if there is a humorous term like "single-eater".

Learn how to spell, you idiot!
:)

I don't know. Some people just don't like to share food. He'll happily buy you lunch, but he doesn't want anybody to touch his food. (I don't know if there's a word for that.)

I've heard "[food] hogger" used, but it's not common.
