What's the reported speech of the above sentence? Should it be A or B or either?

A) He said that he respects his elders and loves his youngers.
B) He said that he respected his elders and loved his youngers.
 
Both are possible.

Both are possible.
If what he said is true at the moment of speaking, I am sure A is normally used in this case. I wonder if B can also be used in this case.
Please let me know.
