What is the more appropriate?

He will emerge victorious out of this dangerous situation.
Or
He will emerge as victorious out of this dangerous situation.
 
I prefer the first, but will accept the second at a push.
 
Ditto. Also, I'd prefer "from" to "out of".
 
The following sentence is from Oxford Dictionary.

He emerged as a key figure in the campaign.
 
I really don't like the second sentence. You don't need as when you follow with an adjective. I suggest you use the following rule:

emerge + adjective
emerge + as + noun phrase

I agree that the better preposition after emerge is from.
