I had a colleague who used to share everything I told him with my other colleagues. I think the term used for this kind of person is snitch.
'He would tell Jenny everything I told him, even though he knew it was a secret.'
I have a couple of questions about the scentence.
1. Since I am talking about a past event that continued for a period of time, do I have to say 'I used to tell him' instead of 'I told him'?
'He would tell Jenny everything I used to tell him, even though he knew it was a secret.
2. Instead of 'it was a secret' I subconsciously keep saying 'they were secrets' as I shared mulpitle secrets. Would it be wrong to say 'He would tell Jenny everything I told him, even though he knew they were secrets'?
The reason for my confusion is that I used 'everything' which makes me feel like 'secrets' is wrong here.
