Could you tell me whether this is a correct phrase or not? Maybe heart transplant operation?

It should be 'transplant'.

Books should not have this kind of mistake, but such things are creeping in. And, given that the lead-in activity matches one field to one area, some might say it would be better to use area in the singular as cardiology maps to one thing. I've only seen one page, but I am not excited by the book.
