heightened requirements

Hi,

"Regarding the information on infectious diseases, application of these technologies is not a good choice due to heightened requirements to information security and confidentiality of data"

I'm not sure about "heightened" here. The intended meaning is that the requirements are stricter than usual. The possible substitutes are "increased" and "high". What would you recommend?

Actually, it is not so easy to describe these technologies and requirements briefly here. What about the collocation "heightened requirements" in the meaning of the requirements that have high standards?

I'd say there are a couple of problems in this sentence. After "heightened requirements", the preposition "to" looks strange to me. I'd use a more specific adverb like : concerning or regarding.
Secondly, heightened requirements seems unusual. Perhaps "stricter" or "tighter" would be clearer.
