Hello, can you please help me understand this:
Changes in gender roles will lead to corresponding changes in the age at marriage in part because a woman's more extensive labor-market attachment (whether it is desired or not) adds another set of exogenous factors requiring adaptations by both husband and wife.
*it's not for a exam or work, Just want to understand an article that I have been reading

Changes in the roles that men and women play will lead to a change in the age at which they marry.
This is partly because a woman's job responsibilities add other outside factors which require both husband and wife to adapt to.

"Young adults will search longer for a spouse as their economic future is being defined and while they lack knowledge regarding important characteristics of a potential spouse"

I think I understand it but I want to make sure. It's important for me.

Young adults will take longer to choose a spouse if their financial future is uncertain, and also while they are still uncertain what they are looking for in a spouse (what sort of personality, etc. their spouse should have).
