[Grammar] Help vs Help to

Hi

Could you please clear my confusion in the following sentences? Which one is correct ?
"That helped us gain courage"
"That helped us to gain courage"
I would like to know if "to" is needed to be used with "Help"

Another question...Which one is correct ?
"I am seeing the Sun"
"I am seeing the sun"
Should the letter "S" in capital form is used or we should use small latter while using the word "sun" ?

They are both correct (or would be if you ended them with full stops).

'The sun is shining'.
