Hi all. I'm new here so I don't know if this is the right thread to be posting this under.

I am writing a poem and I don't know if one of the lines sounds correct...

The line is: "Echo's of voices, resonate abound"

I've looked up the definition of both "resonate" and "abound" and I am satisfied they mean what I want to say. Would it be better to say "around?"

I would really appreciate help from you lovely folks here. Thankyou :)

Welcome to the forum, WestieFan. :hi:

Is the first word meant to be "Echoes" (the plural of "echo"?

"Resonate abound" is meaningless. They are both verbs. "Resonate around" is better - a verb and an adverb. Better still is just "resonate".

If you placed a comma between the resonate, abound. This would make sense and sound quite poetic.

Thanks,

Maria

Thankyou for the replies. Yes the first word is meant to be the plural of echo. Thankyou for that. Mtreadaway thanks for your suggestion. Think that would be a better idea. Really appreciate the help

If you're going to put a comma between "resonate" and "abound", then I suggest you remove the comma after "voices".

"Echoes of voices resonate, abound"
