Hello all,

I am going to live in the U.S the next two months.

I need some help regarding everyday English conversation. I need to know how I can rent an apartment, open a bank account, do shopping, visiting a doctor, etc. I mean is there any site or book that can help foreigners to be familiar with such topic vocabulary or conversation?

Thank you so much.

Look up "English for travelers". You'll find plenty.

Thank you so much. Actually, I am a student. I am going to live in the U.S for 6 years. Is that still suitable for students?

Students will need some vocabulary that tourists don't need, but you'll need everything a tourist needs -- so those sites will be useful but won't cover everything.

See above. You can probably find the basics for all those situations online, on basic "phrasebook"-type sites, or you can simply buy a decent phrasebook. Once you arrive, you'll be surrounded by native English speakers and you can ask them for help. If you're going to be in the US for six years in total, as long as you work and socialise with native speakers, I predict you'll be virtually fluent by the time you leave.

A phrasebook has nothing to do with phrasal verbs. A phrasebook is simply a book full of useful vocabulary and sentences that you might need.

Yes, we use phrasal verbs all the time! You'll need to get used to them but you don't need to get a book specifically for them. I meant something more like this.
