Help with principle discretion letter

Ummm hi ! I need help with my principle discretion letter ! I basically have to write a letter to the principle and explain to them why I should be picked and why I want to be at their school ! I don't know how I should start it off or address the main things. Such as being able to hardships what sports I been in and my social or other helpful things I don't I don't know how to all include it without not making sense and being as polished as can be so they can choose to pick me
