I'm not sure I can use the adjective "normal" to describe my state or how my things are. Let's say somebody asks me:

- Hi, how are you? / how are things?
- Normal (meaning "okay")

I 've heard that "normal" refers exclusively to something related to a person's mental state? so in the dialogue above would it mean "sound, not crazy"?

I would find "Normal" an odd response to "How are you?" but natural to "How are things?"

"How are things?" is normal, but "How are your things?' isn't.
