Hello.

Are the following sentences grammatically correct?

"Hi kids. Before the play start I must confess something.

In the video you saw a few weeks ago, I was making fun of a young man who had a crush on me. I lied to you and then tried to fix it, but finally I made a bigger mistake. With the help of a group of good hearted people the truth finally became clear.

Kids, don`t make the same mistake as I did. The truth will set you free."

Thanks.

Hello.

Are the following sentences grammatically correct?

"Hi kids. Before the play starts, I must confess something.

In the video you saw a few weeks ago, I was making fun of a young man who had a crush on me. I lied to you and then tried to fix it (no comma here) but, [STRIKE]finally[/STRIKE] in the end, I made a bigger mistake. With the help of a group of good-hearted people, the truth finally became clear.

Kids, don't make the same mistake [STRIKE]as[/STRIKE] I did. The truth will set you free."

Thanks.

See above for my suggested changes.

"... tried to fix it, but in the end..."

I think the comma placement is fine.

The truth won't always set you free, for example if you've killed someone.
