Hi,

Please let me know the exact word in the sentence mentioned below and also let me know if the sentence is correct:

I had a hobby to swim when i was in school but I didn't have money to join swimming classes. Now as Iam earning I can pursue my hobby.

Is pursue the right word? What are the other words we can use?

Regards

Prince Sabharwal

Google search results for "persue my hobby" (about 900) show this phrase is used sometimes. What do native speakers think?

"To pursue a hobby" is fine. I would rewrite the sentence a little, like this:
When I was at school my hobby was swimming but I didn't have money to join swimming classes. Now, as I am earning I can pursue my hobby.
