Background: Videos show our soldiers in Shanghai were fighting against Japanese invaders in 30s-40s in the last century. I want to say something to show respect for the soldiers, yet not knowing which one is proper or most proper in English.

(1)Homage to the heroes who defended our country.
(2) Honors to the heroes who defended our country.
(3) Kudos to the heroes who defended our country.
(4) Great respect for the heroes who defended our country.

My questions:
(1) seems to be too old-fashioned to be used these days.
(2) An everyday usage that appears to be mediocre.
(3) It does not show great regard for the heroes.
(4) Not very natural to me in English.

Okay, English is hard to grasp. I am not sure whether my feelings are correct above.

Any opinions will be appreciated.

None of them is a sentence. (Each needs a verb. (You do see "kudos" used that way though.))

I don't think the first one is too old-fashioned. In fact, I think the others are weak by comparison..

It is an imperative. Who are you saying that to?

How about "The videos are a fitting commemoration of our soldiers who fought against the Japanese invaders from 1930-1940".
