My friend told me he didn't want to eat meat because there were too many antibiotics in it. I told him to be a vegetarian because vegetarian food covers all the nutrients one needs if eat it in balance.

Friend: How about Vitamin D and B12?
Silver: Eat food supplments.

Is the italic sentence natural?

See above.

(For info, getting vitamin D isn't hard at all. Vitamin B12 deficiency can be a problem in a vegan diet but not usually in a lacto-ovo-vegetarian diet.)

Fun fact - B12 supplements can turn your urine an alarming orange color if taken excessively. We once used this knowledge for a college prank where we spiked a roommate's Tang drink mix with ground B12 after getting tired of listening to him boast about a new girl he'd met. Tang is an orange powder which matches ground B12 surprisingly well.

He was convinced he'd caught an STD, despite later admitting they hadn't had any actual sexual contact beyond kissing and heavy petting. He went to the campus health clinic in a panic when his stream came out a shocking color.🤣
