How common are the "phile" words?

I've found a list of words which suggest a person loves a particular thing:

How common are they?

For example, if I love stars and I say I'm an astrophile, would I be understood?
 
Probably not.
 
I would understand what you were saying! Astrophile
 
You would be understood by some proportion of the population, yes. I wouldn't like to say what size.

The suffix -phile, generally speaking, is widely understood.
 
... as is its close antonym — -phobe.
