A colleague emailed the whole department and said she would be on leave because her mother had just passed away and she had to attend the funeral. No need for condolences...
Do I need to reply and how? Thanks!

If she specifically said "No need for condolences", I think you should respect her wishes and I don't think you should send a reply.
