Hi,

For example,
"Some person got injured, and then 2 hours passed. This person died eventually. The a doctor said, "You were supposed to send him to the hospital within 2 hours after he was injured".

Are the doctor's words(contrived by me) in English natural? Or how else would you say it?

Thank you!

They are OK.

I find it a bit long-winded. "You should have got him to hospital as soon as possible", "You should have got him to hospital within two hours of the injury".

I can't imagine a doctor supporting a two-hour window. I agree with ems's "as soon as possible".
