Is it correct when I ask someone, for example:
Q:How much time did you stay there?
A: I stayed there for a year.

how about:
Q:How long did you stay there?
A: I stayed there for a year.

Do native speakers use both questions? In the first question, is there any grammar mistake asking "how much time"?

The first one is not natural. It's fine grammatically, though.

If you changed "stay" to "spend" it would work.
