Hello teachers

I want to ask what someone looks like in some details. eg. hair, height, build.

Can I ask in these ways:
How is his hair? He has black hair.
Or What is his hair like? He has black hair.

How is his height? He is of medium height.
What is his height like? He is of medium height.

How is his build? He is of medium build.
What is his build like? He is of medium build.

Thank you!:)

Hello teachers

I want to ask what someone looks like in some details. eg. hair, height, build.

Can I ask in these ways:
How is his hair? He has black hair. No.
Or What is his hair like? He has black hair. Yes. Or "What colour is his hair?" but that would only give you the colour, not the length or the style.

How is his height? He is of medium height.
What is his height like? He is of medium height.
Neither - the question is "How tall is he?"

How is his build? He is of medium build.
What is his build like? He is of medium build.
I can't actually think of a general question to do with build. I would be more likely to say "Is he of small, medium or large build?" but I don't even like that question very much!

Thank you!:)

See above.
