I want to list some books I've read in my essay, but I don't know how to organize the book information properly.

Can I write as follow:
I'v read some relevant books: Operating Systems Design and Implementation (3rd Edition, by A), Introduction to Algorithms (2nd Edition, by B), and C++ Primer (3rd Edition, by C).

If one book has many authors, how to elide their names?

Does your university or college follow a particular system? There are different ways of writing references. If a book has many uthors, you can write the first name then et al instead of the rest of the names..

Thank you, Tdol.

I don't think my intended reader, who may use different systems, will pay particular attention to which system I use. So I need a style that is clear enough an follows the native speakers' general custom.
