[Grammar] How to use "inform"

I know it is okay to say, "We will inform you of the result."
Are the following sentences acceptable?
1. We will inform the result to you.
2. The result will be informed to you.
 
You can't inform a result. Results don't have brains, so they can't receive information.

You can only inform people.
