Are you saying that people who have posted can delete their own post?.Is that possible?

Yes. You can delete an individual post if you want to. You press the Edit button and at the bottom is the delete option box. You have to give a reason for deletion though.

You can only edit a post that you personally posted. If someone goes on to edit that post, and then you go back and edit the original, that will get very confusing. I recommend only editing a post immediately after you post it, when you suddenly spot an error. I try to edit my posts only before anyone replies. Once there is a more recent post than my own, I leave mine alone.
 
Things become funny when word positions are intentionally swapped. Another one I had seen was - I have things to see and people to do. ...


A similar sense of 'do' is seen in the jocular 'What can I do you for?' [a play on the conventional 'What can I do for you?'].
