Hello. I'm wondering what "Hr. Pts." stands for on a report card. Thank you.

For example:

Sem. -> Cr. Att: 18+ 0 Cr. Comp.: 11+ 0 Hr. Pts.:28.5 SPA:1.58
Aft.Sem. -> Cr. Att: 18+ 0 Cr. Comp.: 11+ 0 Hr. Pts.:28.5 GPA:1.58

And also, would you please check these below?
Cr. Att -> Credit Attained(Credit enrolled) Cr. Comp.-> Credit completed SPA: Semester Point Average GPA: Grade Point Average

On what sort of report card did you find these? Which country does the report card originate from?

Sorry not to cite the source first. It is from a book, <Dare to Disappoint> by Ozge Samanci.

I assume from the name of the author that it is a Turkish book. However, the page seems to refer to the American education system. We don't use "GPA" in the UK.

Right. The author is a Turk. She studied at a university in Istunbal. The university modeled itself on the American education system.

Note my corrections above.

I would guess Hr. Pts. stands for "Honor Points," which could be points a student accumulates towards receiving an award.

American report cards vary not only by state, but in most states, by local school district. Private schools establish their own reporting systems. I had never heard of honor points till your post, but a little googling found at least one high school that uses them.

I was going to guess "honor points" as well. Used to calculate who is named to the "honor roll."

Cr Att is Credits attempted.
There were 18 credits on the schedule, but she failed two classes worth 7 credits.
Cr Comp would be credits completed. She completed only 11 credits.

I'm not familiar with grades like "BB or CB" - I guess that like B+ or B-, but I'm not sure.

Typically you get 4 points for an A, 3 for a B, 2 for a C, 1 for D and 0 for an F.
"AA" might be more than 4 and a "CB" must be somewhere between 2 and 3, but I don't know.

But anyway, if you multiply the grade "points" by the number of hours using my round numbers, you get:
9+0+0+4+9+8 = 30

I'm assuming then that the Hr Pts of 28.5, which is close to this 30, must be something like "Hour Points" - your grade x the number of hours the class meets each week.

Then you divide these points 28.5 by the credits attempted (18) to get the grade point average of 1.58.
